We start our holiday plan in Delhi to allow people who wish to see the Taj Mahal the opportunity to do that at the beginning or end of this trip. Should you wish to start from another city we can arrange that for you, or you can start your holiday when you reach Kovalam.

NEW DELHI, INDIA

When you first arrive in New Delhi, and at the end of your holiday you will stay at the Hotel Ajanta.

To ease into India and experience just a little of the excitement of Delhi, we recommend that you can take a quick walk to the famous Main Bazaar at Paharganj Market where you will dodge tuk tuks, rickshaws, people and cows to get to the market.

Once there its a shopping mecca for very beautiful but inexpensive jewellery, clothing, lovely bags, sari's, cushions, perfumes, tea, sweets, etc.



We recommend that you eat at the Hotel Ajanta's own restaurant
because it is some of the best Indian food that you will ever eat.

Try the Vegetarian Thali - its approx aud$3.00 and very very good.
They also do room service so you can order breakfast and tea in bed!

WE RECOMMEND that if you havent already visited the exquisite Taj Mahal then take the fun and quick 4 hour drive to Agra. We can arrange for you to take a day's departure from your Healing Holiday Plan to see the Taj Mahal.

The overnight trip will allow you to see the Taj Mahal at both sunset and sunrise before returning to Delhi and continue on your way to Kovalam.
